Work up a sweat with the ‘Thor’ star’s latest circuit routine.
Chris Hemsworth has been sharing a variety of workouts on his social media channels over the last couple of months in a bid to get his followers moving—as well as promote his health and fitness app Centr. These have ranged in difficulty, from beginner-level low-impact routines that anybody can try, to more advanced weights training sessions that the Thor star has used to build those godlike gains.
In his most recent training video, Hemsworth demonstrates a full-body workout which includes bodyweight exercises like the mountain climber and bear crawl, which dynamically target the core, as well as light dumbbell exercises, such as tricep extensions, and back-builders like the bent-over dumbbell row.
Hemsworth specifies that he is using a pronated (i.e. overhand) grip on the dumbbell row here, which is the traditional way of doing this classic lift. However, if you’re already familiar with this exercise and have stopped seeing progress, it might be worth trying switching to a supinated (i.e. underhand) grip, as this will automatically increase the load, leading to greater recruitment of the biceps.
Here is the workout in full, to be completed a total of 4 rounds.
