Sharing my experience of renewing the FC in Feb 2022 for my 2007 Swift at KA-04 Yeshwantpur( Bangalore North) RTO. Maybe used as a the latest guide for KA-04 vehicles. I suggest you go directly as the process is pretty straightforward.
Based on watching the inspector checking the vehicles, it is best to get the following done:
Things to do at home:
Login to https://parivahan.gov.in/
Green tax=500 ; RC Fees = 200 ; Renewal Fees = 600 ; Road Safety Tax = 1000.
After the payment, download and print out the payment receipt and filled form 25. You can also do it using the Status tab (on the page where you selected “Renewal of Registration” ). No need to paste photo.
The Payment ID will be your application number for future reference.
I had an issue where I had to get the “Tax Cleared” which seems to be some option internal to the RTO software and didn’t require me to pay anything as such. All I had do was to go to a lady called Bharati (Next to the cash counter – 3rd Floor) and give her my vehicle details and ask her to give clearance before proceeding with some steps. You may need to do this if you get stuck in any of the above steps.
At the RTO – Better to reach around around 11:30 a.m. – 12 noon:
