Our goal is to ensure a safe environment for all students and employees.
The policies and procedures in place follow CDC and New York State guidelines for fitness facilities.
We will continue to work diligently to maintain a safe and healthy environment and strive to increase services and hours when appropriate.
We will communicate frequently to keep you informed with important and updated information.

The information provided describes the required policies and amended services during the fall semester.
This is a living document and updates will be communicated to the campus community.
RECREATION CENTER FACILITY GUIDELINES
- Do not enter the building if you have a runny nose, sore throat, cough, shortness of breath, chills, fever, muscle aches, headache, subjective fevers, diarrhea, nausea, sudden loss of taste or smell. If you have any of the symptoms listed, please contact the Student Health Center.
- Upon entering the Rec Center, you must swipe your Le Moyne College ID card at the front table.
- Students, faculty, and staff must follow all directional signage to create a safe environment for all.
- Employees will monitor fitness areas to ensure equipment is cleaned and assist in cleaning touch-points and equipment after each use.
- Hand sanitation stations and spray bottles are placed throughout the facility.
- Students, faculty, and staff must bring their own exercise mat, water bottle, and towel.
- Only water bottles and cell phones (for music) are allowed on the fitness floor.

Arrival Process
Q: What does the entry process look like?
A: The Rec Center entry process is as follows:
- Upon entering the Rec Center, you will swipe your Le Moyne ID card at the front table.
Q: What are you doing to make the facility clean and sanitized?
A: The Rec Center has implemented additional cleaning and disinfecting protocols.
- We have increased the availability of hand sanitizer, spray bottles, and paper towels throughout the facility.
- Users of the facility must clean equipment with the approved disinfectant spray before and after each use.
- Rec Center staff and cleaning services will disinfect surfaces including equipment and other touch points daily.
Q: Will the locker rooms be available for student use?
A: Yes.
Free Weight Room & Cardio Room
Q: Are any changes being made to the free weight and cardio areas?
A: We are implementing the following guidelines in our exercise areas:
- Equipment is arranged to accommodate physical distancing.
- Additional hand sanitizers, spray bottles, and paper towels have been placed throughout the exercise areas for cleaning procedures.
- Users of the facility must clean equipment with the approved disinfectant spray before and after each use.
- Employees will monitor fitness areas to ensure equipment is cleaned and assist in cleaning touch points and equipment.
- Staff is available at all times for assistance and questions.
Q: Will court sports be available for play?
A: Yes.
- The basketball courts in the gym are available.
- Basketballs will be available.
A: Yes.
Q: Is spotting allowed?
A: Yes.
MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Currently Enrolled Students, Faculty, Staff and Retirees
All currently enrolled Le Moyne College students, full and part-time faculty, staff, and retirees,
are authorized to use the facilities with a valid Le Moyne College ID card.
Non-Members
The Recreation Center is not open to the public. Any person not in possession of a valid
Le Moyne College ID, or alumni with their membership card, will not be allowed access to the facility.
Current Faculty and Staff Family
Currently employed full time and part-time faculty and staff of Le Moyne College may purchase
a family membership applicable to spouse and dependent children.*
6 Month Fee – $85 1 Year Fee – $100
Alumni Individual/Family
Alumni of Le Moyne College may purchase a membership to the facility applicable to
spouse and dependent children.*
6 Month Fee $150 1 Year Fee $250
*2 Adult caregivers, children and dependent students within a single household living at the same address.
(Exceptions may happen under review of the Associate Director of Campus Recreation.)

Membership Card Replacement
The Recreation Center Office must be notified when a membership card has been lost, stolen or damaged.

A rich mix of habitats creates the possibility of seeing more than 200 species of birds and over 800 varieties of plants. Beaver Lake features winding trails that are designed to be enjoyed in all seasons. Over 9 miles of maintained walking trails across gentle and varied terrain invite you to restore your connection to the earth. Beaver Lake’s 600 natural acres are the perfect setting for fun with friends or solitary renewal. |
Lakeview Trail – 0.3 miles The expressway to the Beaver Lake shore. Hemlock Hollow – 0.4 miles A cool and shaded hide-away. Pine Meadow – 0.5 miles An isolated meadow shielded by pines on one side and a mixed forest on the other. Bog – 0.6 miles Our elevated boardwalk is your invitation to visit a habitat different from any other you may have experienced. Deep Woods – 1.4 miles This trail affords hikers a long and meandering walk through the serenity of a maturing forest. Three Meadows – 1.5 miles Put extra spring in your step as you cross sunny fields before entering the forest. Lake Loop – 3.0 miles Nearly 3/4 of a mile of boardwalk lets you immerse yourself in a variety of wetlands. Woodland – 1.1 miles A pine forest, a cedar/hemlock swamp and a northern hardwood forest are three different woodland communities along this winding trail. Arboretum Trail – 0.3 miles An aesthetically refreshing place for a walk, and with the habitat it offers, a perfect place to view wildlife. |
